Code of Conduct
Standards of behavior for all tournament participants.
1. Introduction
The Global Youth League T25 is committed to providing a safe, respectful, and enjoyable environment for all participants. This Code of Conduct applies to all players, parents/guardians, coaches, and support staff involved in the tournament.
2. Core Values
All participants are expected to uphold these core values:
- Respect: Treat all players, officials, staff, and spectators with dignity and respect
- Integrity: Play fair, be honest, and uphold the spirit of cricket
- Excellence: Strive for personal and team improvement
- Sportsmanship: Win with grace and lose with dignity
- Teamwork: Support teammates and contribute positively to team dynamics
3. Player Conduct
On the Field
- Play within the rules and spirit of the game
- Accept umpire decisions without argument or dissent
- Avoid sledging, intimidation, or unsporting behavior
- Respect opponents before, during, and after matches
- Take care of equipment and playing facilities
Off the Field
- Follow all tournament schedules and attend required activities
- Respect curfews and accommodation rules
- Represent the tournament positively in all interactions
- Use social media responsibly and appropriately
- Report any concerns or issues to tournament officials
4. Zero Tolerance Policies
The following behaviors will result in immediate disciplinary action and potential removal from the tournament:
- Discrimination: Any form of discrimination based on race, religion, nationality, gender, or ability
- Bullying: Physical, verbal, or cyber bullying of any kind
- Harassment: Any form of harassment including sexual harassment
- Violence: Physical violence or threats of violence
- Substance Abuse: Use of alcohol, tobacco, or prohibited substances
- Cheating: Any form of cheating or match manipulation
5. Parent/Guardian Conduct
Parents and guardians are expected to:
- Support their child positively without placing undue pressure
- Respect coaches, officials, and tournament staff
- Avoid coaching from the sidelines during matches
- Set a positive example through their own behavior
- Address concerns through proper channels, not publicly
- Respect the decisions of selectors and team management
6. Social Media Guidelines
- Do not post negative comments about other players, teams, or officials
- Seek permission before posting photos or videos of other participants
- Represent the tournament positively online
- Report any cyberbullying or inappropriate content to officials
7. Safeguarding
The safety of young players is our priority:
- All tournament staff undergo background checks
- Clear reporting procedures are in place for any concerns
- One-on-one unsupervised contact between adults and players is prohibited
- Any safeguarding concerns should be reported immediately to tournament officials
8. Disciplinary Procedures
Violations of this Code of Conduct will be addressed as follows:
- First Offense (Minor): Verbal warning and discussion with player and parent/guardian
- Second Offense or Serious Violation: Written warning and possible match suspension
- Repeated or Severe Violations: Removal from the tournament without refund
Severe violations may result in immediate removal without prior warnings.

All reports will be taken seriously and handled confidentially.
10. Agreement
By registering for and participating in the Global Youth League T25, all players and their parents/guardians agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Violations may result in disciplinary action, including removal from the tournament.
